Grand kids visit

Jackie & Justin came to visit for the weekend.  Justin had a brothers trip up at the lake with the Schwartz’s and Jackie came to spend the weekend with us.   We spent a lot of time at the local parks.  They are growing up so fast.  Grace even got to carve pumpkins with someone and not by herself.   We also celebrated  Derek’s Birthday. 

Oregon Birthdays

We went to Oregon to celebrate my dad’s 78^th Birthday and Grandma Greens 94^th Birthday.  It was so fun to see everyone.  My Dad built a greenhouse that houses his Aquaponics project.  It’s like the circle of life in a greenhouse.  Starts out with fish and ends up with vegetables.  All self sufficient.  I guess once a scientist, always a scientist. 

Steve and Grace flew in Saturday for Grandma Greens Birthday.  It was so fun to see all of Steve’s cousins and visit and catch up with everyone.  Grandma looks great and is doing great!  They have some good genes in that Pennington family!

North Dakota

Grace and I spent the weekend in North Dakaota.  We got to see Savannah play a volleyball game, went out to eat and did some shopping.  It is a really nice place.  Lauren & David have a great apartment and love their ward.  David is really busy with medical school but is doing really well.  It was great to see where they live.   Grace got a good sister fix hopefully can last her until Thanksgiving.

New Car

Derek got a new car.  A 2008 VW Jetta.  It is a lot better on Gas then his old truck.   And I had to post this picture of Hercules.  He is getting so big.

Good Bye Summer

We closed up the lake house this weekend.  It is always so sad to do this.  We took Ashley and Grace and they had to play before we really put things away.  In the fall there is hardly any boats at all so Grace & Ashley got to take the Sea doo out for a few spins all on there own. 

7th Grade A Team Volleyball

Grace made the “A”  team for 7^th grade volleyball and is very busy with practice everyday and 2 games a week.  The girls are doing very well and winning all their  games.  It is fun to watch her.   She has watched all her siblings play for Moscow and it is fun to finally be able to play for a school team.  She even got the Pennington number #11.  She is becoming such a good volleyball player.

 

Terry Johnson

I found this picture of my dad today while cleaning out a drawer.  What a handsome devil he was.  I think he looks a lot like Derek Pennington.

Latah County Fair

Justin came for the Latah County Fair and brought the grandkids.  He drove the 10 hours and has been taking care of them all by himself.  What a good dad!  I had Grace & Steve helping me one day and we ended up having to put Grace in the stroller to hold Paden so we could finish our walk.   Paden is pretty heavy!  We took the kids to hordamans pond to feed the ducks and play at the park.  They loved it!  

Lewiston Roundup

We went to the Famous Lewiston Roundup this weekend with our friends the Hansons.  It was pretty fun.  I had never been to a rodeo before.  It was crazy watching the bull riders.  What a job that would be. 

Hercules

 My quiet life of no one home all day is really over.  Hercules takes up every minute of my day.  I hope this gets better!  Now that Grace is gone to school and volleyball I am in charge.  He hates it when she goes.  I am not as much fun.  He loves to go pick her up from Volleyball practice
