Adios!

Today is Packing Day (my family has a packing phobia). We got our itenerary and it looks exciting. We leave 3:30 am Saturday morning and get to Lima about 10:30pm and sleep in the airport and then off to Cusco at 4:00 am. We will be back in the U.S. on the 25th. We are gearing up for no phones, no ipods, no computers and interesting food. We will be working on the orphanage farm, painting a school house, teaching newborn care and other projects. We are hiking up to a village to help them with a water project one of the days. We have gotten all our shots and our High altitude medicine so we should be fine. We go from sea level to 10,000 feet and then up to 14,000 feet. We will almost touch the sky! I had a friend tell me Everest was like 21,000 feet and you could only be up there for a few hours and we are getting close to that. Steve is excited to show us some things from his mission. We will get to see a lot. We all have notebooks to keep journals of our adventure and I will try to be like aunt laurel and post them all with pictures when we get back!
This is just the suitcases we are bringing full of stuff for the orphanage all our stuff will have to fit in 2 suitcases! AHHHH!
This is our survival suitcase with lots of food, pop tarts, granola bars , powerbars and lots of dried fruit!
